What Happens During an AC Tune-Up?
When we visit your Utah home for an AC tune-up, our specialists follow a 21-point checklist. We ensure your cooling system is operating comfortably and safely, as well as providing optimal indoor air quality (IAQ).
Here is a small sampling of tasks your specialist will perform:
- Monitor refrigerant levels
- Check airflow
- Clean the condensate drain
- Inspect and clean coils
- Look for broken parts and replace them (if needed)
Additionally, if you need a new standard-size filter for your AC, we will replace it for free. Each of our plans includes a yearly AC tune-up.
What Happens During a Furnace Tune-Up?
When fall comes to Salt Lake City, our team at Friendly Plumber, Heating and Air can prepare your furnace to power through the winter. During our 19-point inspection, we make sure your heating system is running efficiently. Additionally, we perform extensive safety measures to protect your home from carbon monoxide (CO) leaks or heat exchanger issues.
Here are just a few items from the checklist your specialist will cover:
- Gauge the gas pressure and adjust it (if needed)
- Clean the burners, flame sensor, blower compartment, and blower wheel
- Inspect the heat exchanger for cracks
- Check all the amp draws and limit controls
We will also replace your standard-size furnace filter free of charge if necessary. A seasonal furnace tune-up is included in all tiers of our maintenance plans.
